2 weeks in Guatemala

From mid-January to beginning of February me and two friends did what every Northern European should; we left the dark and (fairly) cold winter in Berlin for 2 weeks in the sun in Guatemala.

With good food, great drinks, sunny days, beautiful and very diverse nature we managed to survive both Guatemala and this winter. For this trip I decided not to bring my work camera, but got to borrow one from my bestie instead. All pictures below are shot with a Nikon D5100, some with the kit lens 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 G ED and some with the great prime lens Nikkor 35mm 1.8 G.

Our journey began in Guatemala City with a quick cab ride over to Antigua, where we stayed for 2 nights. Then west to Lake Atitlan and San Juan for 5 days, back to Guatemala City and a night bus up to the north; Flores and Tikal for 2 nights, then a bumpy ride in a minivan down to Coban and Semuc Champey for 2 nights. 2 weeks went by fast, but it was enough for a small country like Guatemala. I would recommend ANYONE to go there and feel free to contact me or comment for tips!!
